Cubs on a winning streak/Sox on losing streak

                                                                              Image result for dodgers mets

Chicago Cubs started off the month of may at 4-8, right at the 500. winning percentage mark. The Cubs started their winning streak by winning 2/3 against the Cardinals and sweeping the Phillies in 3 game series at home. The Cubs defeated the Dodgers yesterday by a score of 2-0. The Cubs used 4 pitchers due to the injury of Jason Hammel in in top of the third inning. The Dodgers will be in town until thursday as they continue there four game series. Now the Chicago White Sox. A team that is in a huge!!!! slump. The Sox have lost 7 games in a row!! dropping them from first to third place in the american central division. The Sox last win came on May, 23, 2016 vs the Cleveland Indians. I don't believe that it is Robin Ventura's fault that they are losing a lot of games, I think it's just all the players that are in slumps. Saturday the White Sox blew a 7-1 lead in Kansas City against the Royals in the ninth inning as the royals went on to defeat the sox's by a score of 8-7. After that, sunday they blew a 4-1 lead in the 7th inning again to the Royals and lost 5-4. And yesterday's game vs the Mets, were facing a struggling pitcher Matt Harvey, the sox left 14 men on base and took the loss by a score of 1-0. They take on the Mets tonight at 6:10pm.

Former Chicago Bears QB Caleb Hanie involved in fatal car accident

Former Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Hanie was involved in a fatal car accident last night, Haine does appear to be injured but it is non-life threatening. Haine started 10 games for the bears in 2010 including the NFC wild card game against the packers in 2010. Haine played for the Bears, Ravens, Cowboys, and Browns. Currently, Haine is a free agent but is getting some interest from the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, and again the Dallas Cowboys. Haine played college football all four years at Colorado State University and was signed as a undrafted free-agent by the Chicago Bears in 2008. According to sources Haine has injuries to the head, leg and lower stomach but will be ready if he is singed by a team.

Are the Cubs and White Sox in a slump?/ Will Jake Arrieta not re-sign with the cubs?

After being the best two teams in baseball, both of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox have lost two games in a row. White Sox lost two in a row to the Rangers and the Cubs lost two in a doubleheader to the San Diego Padres. Now the question is if the Cubs and White Sox go in slumps, will that ruin their chance to make a playoff run? Honestly in my own opinion I don't think it will ruin the Cubs chance but I think it will ruin the White Sox because they don't have as much talent as the Cubs. With the injury to OF/C Kyle Shwarber, the cubs have a lot of players on the bench to cover his position. Another big trending news story is about Cubs ace, Jake Arrieta. Jake states "He is worth more than Stephen Strasburg." Strasburg is currently the second starter in the rotation for the Washington Nationals. Strasburg signed a 7-year 175 million dollar deal with Washington monday night and Arrieta believes that he is worth more. According to ESPN Arrieta is looking from 200-215 million for 8-9 years. We will see what happens at the end of the 2016 season but anyways go CUBS!!!

Bulls, buying or selling during the offseason?

Image result for fred hoibergWill the Chicago Bulls be a buying team or will they be a selling team in the off season? Well from what it looks like now, the bulls will be 50/50. And what I mean by that is they will be selling and buying in the offseason. Right now according to ESPN and the NBA the Bulls are looking for a high quality player that can take over for Pau Gasol. There options are, Dwight Powell who is an Athletic all around power forward. There second option is to be aggressive at signing Atlanta Hawks center Al Hortford. If the Bulls want to be a better team next year they have to be way more aggressive next year than they did next year. Especially Fred Hoiberg. Fred needs to step up his ISO and defensive formation plays. When the bulls signed Hoiberg last offseason he specifically said "I am a defensive specialist." Honestly it didn't look like the bulls defense was good this year. They need to step it up.
