Blackhawks Slump/ Duncan Keith's suspension

The Chicago Blackhawks have been on a very big slump losing 6 of there last 9 games. Last night the blackhawks fell the the Minnesota Wild by a score of 4-1. Also on top of that, blackhawks top defenseman Duncan Keith was penalized and ejected and suspended for slashing the Wild's left winger Charlie Coyle in the face. The NHL has suspended Keith for a minimum of 1 game without pay. The Blackhawks will be playing the Winnipeg Jets tonight in Winnipeg. The Jets have lost only 3 games out of 7 and lost last night to the Ottawa Senators 2-1. The Blackhawks are also dealing with the injury of Goalie Corey Crawford. Crawford has a head injury which doctors are relating to a head contusion. Scott Darling will be in the net for the hawks tonight and for Winnipeg will have their star goalie Ondrej Pavelec. Getting back to Keith's suspension he will be fined at least $15,000 according to NHL's president Gary Bettman. Hopefully the hawks can get a W and get on a winning streak!

Let's talk Cubs and Contracts

The Chicago Cubs had their best season in over 15 years going 97-65 during the 2015 season. Now ESPN is predicting the Cubs will at least won 106 games during the 2016 season. But hey it's possible, the cubs have the best starting 9, the best roster overall and the best farm system. The Cubs went 49-32 at home last year and on the road they went 48-33. They were the 3rd best team in MLB last year and hopefully they will pass up there rivals this year. The St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburg Pirates. Cardinals Manager Mike Matheny was very very angry that John Lackey and Jason Heyward Left St. Louis to come to Chicago and play for Joe Maddon. Heyward signed a 8-year deal worth 184 million dollars. The largest contract in Cubs history. John Lackey signed a 2-year 32 million dollar deal over the offseason. But the craziest contract during the offseason was Zach Greinke's 6-year 206-million dollars.

Adam LaRoche leaves the White Sox because of his son

Chicago White Sox first baseman Adam LaRoche leaves White Sox because of his son's rights in the clubhouse. LaRoche usually brings his 14-year old son Drake to every home game, but the president of baseball operations for the White Sox, Kenny Williams told LaRoche that he either cannot bring his son to the ballpark or he will cut his salary. Of course Laroche wasn't happy with the decision. But he told the media "My kid is more important than just playing baseball." This is the worst thing that Kenny Williams could have done because he just lost a 16-year veteran who won a gold-glove and was a batting tittle champion over something really dumb. LaRoche made 12 million last year and was supposed to make a total earning of around 13.5 million this year. But instead he made a good decision to step up for his family and do whats right. LaRoche was drafted by the Atlanta Braves, played two years and was traded to the Pittsburg Pirates. In 2009 LaRoche had an absolute horrible year and was traded to the Boston Red Sox for All-Star outfielder Jason Bay. At the end of the 2009 season LaRoche was looking to resign with Red Sox but got a call from his former team, the Atlanta Braves. The Braves signed LaRoche to a huge deal of 6-years 105-Million dollar contract that would make him the highest paid MLB player. But LaRoche had another awful year and was released and picked up By the most dangerous team in baseball the Arizona Dimondbacks. The D-backs were the scariest team in 2010. With the Power of Justin Upton and the strike-out king Randy Johnson, they were just unstoppable. LaRoche didn't really feel apart of the team so after the 2010 season ended LaRoche signed a 2-year 24 million dollar contract with the Washington Nationals. LaRoche had an amazing 2011-2014 season with the Nationals averaging around 27 homers a year. After those 3 seasons with the Nationals Laroche decided to take his talents to the south side of Chicago were he was not happy at all. LaRoche only started 45 games and first base and only hit 6 homers. What will Adam LaRoche do with his career now?

Cubs off to a rough start but no worries!

Image result for Cubs winThe Chicago Cubs opened spring training a week ago today with a loss to the Anaheim Angels. Ever since that game they've gone 1-7. But it's ok because the 2016 season still hasn't begun. ESPN interviewed Cubs fist baseman Anthony Rizzo and he stated that "They're not trying to hit the ball hard or win all the games because the real deal hasn't even begun." I agree with that statement because right now in spring training, as a team you're not trying to risk injuries to key players like new comer Jason Heyward, Kyle Schwarber, Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant and much much more players on the roster.  My prediction for the Cubs record this year is 101 wins and 63 losses.

Bulls Win!!!!

Image result for bulls vs rockets

Finally!!! The bulls win after they went on a four game loosing streak! Why and how did they win? Well here's a few reasons why. First off They played the struggling Houston Rockets. Second they had Jimmy-G Buckets back(Jimmy Butler) and Derrick Rose was playing one of his best games of the season. The Rockets are struggling but are improving with bringing back PF-Josh Smith back for one year. Smith played for the Rockets back in 2015 and then singed with the Los Angles Clippers at the start of the 2016 season. Another player that you might not know but is one of the best players on the Rockets is rookie small-forward Sam Dekker. Dekker was a secret weapon for the Wisconsin Badgers last year and average's 12.5 points a game.

Leading Scorers:

Bulls: Pau Gasol- 28 pts
